Congrats to DBES Riverside Response Manager Jason Thomas for completeing HAZMAT Technician School at Texas A&M. Jason is now certified by the NFPA as a Hazardous Materials Technician. Jason joined the DBES Team in May in the Health, Safety and Technical Services Branch. He recently completed his Masters in Environmental Science from CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY -SAN BERNARDINO and has been a valuable asset to the team from day one! Congrats Jason!

A DBES Strike Team recently returned from a 60 day deployment to Mississippi for the BP Oil Spill Response.
DBES mobilized California MSRC resources under the STARS contract to Biloxi, Miss. including boom, SBS Barges and Skimmers. Upon arrival DBES was tasked with setting up and manageing a Boom repair facility. DBES set up the facility and trained local labor sources on boom maintenance and repair. DBES personnel also assisted with logistical operations and asset staging. Welcome home DBES Gulf Response Team!!!

DBES has purchased and expects delivery in late January, of a 120bbl Stainless Steel Vacuum Tanker from Dragon Products of La Porte Texas. The new unit which will be compatible with various chemicals adds additional capability to DBES. The new unit will bring the company tanker fleet to (3) DOT Certified Units…

DBES supervisor Morban Zarate and Lead Technician Adam Bramhall have recently completed NFPA Confined Space Rescue Team Training at Texas A&M.  The week long course included low and high angle rescue, victim packaging, technical rope systems, high hazard entry and adhoc rescue system assembly.  Congrats to Morban and Adam on completeing the course!!!!
