Double Barrel Responds to Firefighter, Police Officer Hospitalized After Being Exposed to Unknown Gas in Riverside

Nearly a dozen people, including a firefighter and police officer, were evaluated at a hospital after being exposed to an unknown gas in Riverside that had prompted the closure of a local school and evacuations in the area.

DBES has acquired a NEW Off Shore Capable Oil Spill response vessel

DBES has acquired a NEW Off Shore Capable Oil Spill response vessel. The vessel, a 27′ Brunswick Guardian is commonly used by military, rescue, and special operations units around the world. The boat is equipped with radar, GPS/plotter navigation and special towing appliances for marine spill response. The Vessel is named “Vittoria Diana” and is equipped with twin 150HP outboards. Vittoria Diana will be stationed in LA/LB Harbor.

DBES selected by Defense Logistics Agency as HAZWASTE Contractor

DBES has successfully bid the contract for Hazardous Waste Transportation and Disposal Services for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), for its Southern California Installations. DBES will begin the contract later this month and will be covering military installations from Santa Barbara County to Orange County, CA. We are excited about this new opportunity and look forward to our new relationship with the DLA.

DBES Complete Removal/Recovery Operations on Highway 38

DBES personnel responded to a combination gasoline/diesel tanker spill that threatened the Santa Ana River and the associated water shed. DBES personnel worked through the Month of May to recover and collect product along the banks of Cold Creek, a tributary of the Santa Ana River. The response effort swelled to over 40 responders and included working through the Memorial holiday.  DBES has completed all active operations including restoration and reconstruction of the creek wash but will continue to conduct passive recovery efforts and monitoring through the summer.
