DBES has completed a hazardous materials removal and demolition project for Eastern Municipal Water District. The project involved the removal of Commercial Grade Sodium Hydroxide, the cleaning of all associated piping and the disposal and or recycling of all waste materials. DBES completed the project on-time and under budget despite additional work being added to the scope!!!!

DBES has completed the initial outfitting and modifications of our latest tool in Hazardous Materials Response. “HM 112 is ready to go! It is fully outfitted with state of the art response equipment including monitoring, sampling and response tools. These tools include Level A and Level B capability, PID, LEL. DBES completed a technical tank cleaning project for the Las Virgenes Water District. DBES personnel removed approximately 4000 gallons on Sodium Hydroxide and steam cleaned the tank and all associated piping so the apparatus could be demolished to make room for a new treatment system. DBES completed the project on-time and on-budget!!!

DBES congratulates Jon Teten on completing Hazardous Emergency Response Specialist school at the Emergency Response Training Center in Pueblo California. This 5 day course includes response management and techniques to deal with all types of highway related icidents including tank trailers, intermodal containers, vans, and chlorine trailers. DBES is pleased to acknowledge that Terrence Wood has successfully completed Hazardous Materials Response Technician Training at the prestigious Emergency Response Training Center in Pueblo, Co. Terrance completed the week long course where he gained valuable hands-on and classroom knowledge on all aspects of Hazardous Material Response including railcar, ICS, unknown catagorization, and tanker truck release mitigation. DBES has entered into a agreement and has aquired a brand new DOT 120 bbl Vacuum Tanker and 2 Bin Roll Off Truck from Dragon Products of Texas. DBES now has full transportation capability 24 hours a day without reliance on subcontractors. DBES has also purchased and taken delivery of 5 (20 yard) roll-off bins.

DBES has responded to over 8 mercury related incidents since our inception and is the most experienced contractor in the Los Angeles Basin!!!

A DBES crewhas been working on the San Francisco Oil Spill since Saturday Morning. Thus far the crew has worked on Stinson Beach in Marin County, Ocean Beach in San Francisco and Albany Beach in Berkley Ca. “The cleanup is going well and the DBES crew is excited to be helping in the effort to get the effected beaches back to their pristine state.” says Jon Teten the DBES site supervisor.
DBES expects to be on-scene for at least 2 weeks with the possibility of operations lasting longer.

DBES has deployed a 10 man striketeam to help cleanup the oil spill in San Francisco Bay. DBES will be conducting Shoreline Cleanup activities and may deploy additional resources as required. Details of operations will follow…….
